Allison D. Johnson is the recipient of the 2010, 2011, and 2012 Susan Brady Scholarship for Advanced Fiction from the Aspen Writers Foundation, where she has studied with Ron Carlson, Elizabeth McCracken, and Colum McCann.

Since moving to Colorado in 1995, Johnson has worked as a journalist, a syndicated book review columnist, public relations director for Snowmass Village, freelance writer, and researcher for author John Naisbitt. She received her master’s degree in American history from the University of New Hampshire and a bachelor’s degree from Swarthmore College with a double major in English and history.

Allison currently blogs for online publications Get Born and San Juan Parent while also running the Roaring Fork Autism Network, a support organization for families and professionals in western Colorado. She lives in Carbondale, Colorado, with her husband and son.
